Hi. I'm a new member so I don't know if this issue has been addressed previously.
My 2002 model 4.2 litre F250 has decided it will no longer start without first pressurising the fuel line. As it doesn’t have a separate fuel pump and relies on the injector pump to draw the fuel, I have been informed by a few diesel mechanics that the existing pump no longer has the capacity to do the job and I need to install a 12v in-line lift pump to help with fuel delivery. I would like to know if anyone has done this conversion, where best to locate the lift pump, what pressure to aim for and any preferred brand of pump to use. I am in Australia. Thanks
