E99 Cab on 02 chassis

Sorry, I put E99 and '02 in subject, I know the '02 wont work because of the electronic cluster so I will swap it onto a 99.5 chassis I have.

So being in the north - rust.

I have a solid good running 99.5 and I bought an E99 truck out of Texas I want to move the entire cab to the 99.5. Both are diesels.

I know the ECU and IDM are different. Can I get away with just swapping the IDM and ECU from the 99.5 cab into the E99 wiring and be good to go? Seems way to simple..........

Any thoughts??

No need to swap IDMs unless you've been watching Bill Hewitt.

I thought the e99 didnt have split shot injectors and the IDM's were different. That is not correct?

Sorry, dont know who Bill Hewitt is.

E99 has split shots, they're just 130cc vs the late 99 140cc. I know that you can swap PCM's between early and late 99 manual trucks. Not sure about auto's.
