Main question towards the end.....Two days of research with no luck so here it goes. Installed two weeks ago and has been flawless until just recently. I will be emailing these guys Monday but figured i'd start here. First, best mod to date while keeping everything mostly stock. 95 f250, auto trans, 6637, downpipe, now Hydra. downloaded tunes and and have only been playing around with the stock modified, 40+, 80+, put some towing tunes on there but haven't messed with them. The first three have been more than fine by me. just yesterday while driving to work in "stock modified", back roads only, the trans would not shift out of what i am guessing is first gear, only if i let off the throttle. this was completely out of the norm since install. it is basically a very high rev, then shift, maybe, if i let off the throttle, about the best i can explain it. You will ask how good i cleaned it, and this is fair, but why would it be fine for two weeks and now this? I have time to look at it tomorrow but thought i'd get some input here first. I did disconnect both neg batteries today while at work but that did nothing but through a cell when i changed the tune from "00" to stock modified. i did notice that there is a sticker on the inside of my hood from a dealer that states the truck was reflashed back in 99. there is a code written "F6TFAZE". Would this effect the hex code on the PCM??? PCM sticker reads, TEE4, FAEF10I1, converts to Hex VCAB0_02. I will pull it back out tomorrow and recheck everything. Drove to and from work today in "00" and the truck ran perfectly. Just looking to see if anyone has had similar problems. Thanks guys.
You got it right I’ll tell you to check your connection lol. Reason is maybe you got a clean spot and a little crud on one spot and after driving 2 weeks the chip wiggled onto the dirty spot causing issues. Check that first that’ll definitely make issues of all kinds
Intermediate sprag in the transmission is probably broken.
Revs way up in first, let off the accelerator pedal, it'll shift to third.....and as long as you're easy on it, it will not shift back to second and feel like neutral.
Having a chip make a poor connection on the PCM can't just cause certain aspects of the tuning to operate and not others. Not how it works.
Thanks guys. any thoughts on the re-flashing and PCM Hex code configuration? Basically, would the re-flashing back in 99 result in a change of TEE4 code on the box?

It would but it would have no effect on the hardware (DPC-202). That's all that matters for the Hydra HEX conversion to work.
