How many miles? Ford recommends you replace the chain at 250,000., and my shop at 200,000. Had my chain done at 192,000, because it has a 488 rear gear and I pull a lot in 5th gear. And I had it in to replace syncronizers and clutch. My motor runs perfectly smooth, and burns no oil. Once you get in there, the chain is only about 350$.
