Axel Ratio

Hello-

Looking for rear axle gear ratio information.

I have attached photos of the glove box tag and the rear diff.

Any help decoding appreciated!

Welcome to FTE, Does the diff have a small metal tag attached to one of the bolts?

04 is rear axel. Don't have a parts manual to look it up. Mine was 08 583:1. Yours is less extreme.

I'll take a shot, with an axel code of "04", the 1960 manual says that it is 4.56-5M ratio, that is if the axel is original. Having a rear inspection cover it would be a Spicer 60 being it is an F250.
