Headlight problem

Headlight problem
My headlights quit working on my 97 f350. High beams work when I pull it towards me. But if I push switch forward my highbeam light won't come on. My low beam doesn't work either. All my fuses are good and i replaced the switch with a new one and still the same problem. Where is the headlight relay located? iv asked everyone i know and nobody knows.

No relay, power runs direct to from batts to switch to bulbs.
Just disconnect the connector to the headlight bulb, flip them on in the cab, check for voltage. This is very easy to test, you are way over thinking it.
I too have seen both fail at same time.

Check the headlight socket for power as mentioned. That should help narrow down any issues.
The multifunction switch (the arm on the steering column) can go back and could cause the high beam issue.
Obviously make sure the bulbs are good too. These trucks didn't have a relay for the headlights from the factory. It is a good upgrade though to add.

i put them in another truck and they work, i also tried another set of new light and they didn't work either

You said you replaced "the switch"
which one, the one in the dash or the one in the steering column?
the one in the dash turns the lights on/off.
the one in the column is the one you need to test or change.
