Positive Air Shutoff Switch?
Hey everyone, I’ve recently taken a job in oil and gas. I’d like to start taking my bullnose in my signature out to site but it needs an automatic Positive Air Shutoff Switch. Anyone ever put one on their non-turbo 6.9?

It looks like, if you have access to a tach signal, you can wire one up. I'd imagine you would need to create a hard/solid intake tube coming off the air cleaner. I have no experience in this, though. The one I was just looking at essentially has you install and tap into the RPM signal wire, start up and get to the RPM where you want the engine to be, set it, and it will activate when RPM exceeds 25% of what you set it at.
I would be curious as to whether you could get it to work with one of those alternator-driven/aftermarket tachs.
Manual would be easier, but I can understand the desire for automatic.
