Smoke everywhere

2006 f350 smokingAfter an egr delete had some major boost leak problems, fixed it to best of my ability, drove alright for 2 days the. Went to AutoZone to use their scan tool I had a low circuit code for #1 injector, before I got to AutoZone it drove just fine. Then I left leaving AutoZone it start to make a knocking sound and started missing a little, the missing went away and so did the knocking and my boost wasn't getting as high as normal drove it the rest of the way home soon as I pulled in it started to smoke so I quickly shut it off opened hood looked for anything noticable, I check my injector plug for #1 seemed fine, then check my coolant it looked normal as usual, check oil, also full. The smoke came from exhaust and engine bay but couldn't find where exactly it came from any idea what this could be, I think I have learned my lesson not to buy cheap egr parts😭

Failed cylinder #1 injector??? 6.0L diesels are old news for me now, but the symptoms you describe point squarely to failed injector seal(s). A "bubble test" will likely get you to your source.

Have you ever heard of an EGR delete on a 5.4L?

No, but I don't assume...as in it could be a transplanted 6.4L, 6.7L, Cummins, etc.
