Hi first time posting here although I’ve been using the website since I ordered my 17MY F-250 CCSB Lariat Ultimate. I usually keep a truck about 5 years then trade it in and order a new truck. With the market the way it is I didn’t think getting a new truck was going to be possible financially. Then I get an email from the dealer I used when I bought my 17MY promoting 4% below invoice on all orders across all ford models. I placed my order on 2-9-22 for a 22MY F-350 CCSB Lariat Ultimate. What do you guys think the scam could be if there is one? I had my doubts considering the current market and the availability for parts. I was worried I could be pushed to a 23MY and lose out on thousands of dollars in savings plus having to wait another year for a new truck so I had them write a letter with the managers signature and mine to lock in the same savings on a 23MY.
It's been posted here. The one in PA offer 4% below. It's not a scam. Lots of dealers have below invoice pricing, just have to find them.
I wouldn't say lots of dealers have bellow invoice pricing in todays market. Especially that much bellow. Finding a dealer willing to go down to invoice is a challenge for most folks nowadays. The one in PA last I heard was offering 3% now, and also wouldn't lock in a price like the OP's dealer did.
To the OP, I wouldn't think there is a scam, but I would want the dealer to be very clear of any and all dealer fee's.

Agreed. There are two well known and active dealers on various Ford forums selling below invoice. If there are other dealers selling below invoice they sure are not advertising it too well. If there were lots of them doing it there would probably be a thread keeping a list of them.
Found my truck in Maine, window sticker was 62,600, they had it listed online before I even called for 55,500 (F250 XL with a tasteful window sticker).
Out the door before taxes it was 54,800ish. Deals are out there, and good dealerships too. Ira Ford Saco Maine took good care of me throughout the entire process coming from Connecticut. Highly recommend and would go back for another one some day

Keep in mind this thread is from prime Covid days when no deals were to be found on the lot. In fact, if there was even anything on the lot it was listed well over MSRP. The only way to get a good deal then was ordering them. Times are different now.
