Tailgate plastic cap removal
How does the tailgate top plastic cover come off a 2021 Superduty? Mine has the step if that matters. What about the bed rail top plastic, how does that come off?

you remove the side rails by using a plastic pry tool starting from the back to the front of rail. You remove the tailgate cap by removing the t 20-25 screws on the inside of the tailgate and then it prys off like the side rails. There are some excellent videos on you tube if you do a search.

Everything that I have found show 08-16, no Alumiduties. I think I got it now. Several people reported distorting the mounting surface on the bedside on 08-16s by pulling up on the bedside plastic rail. It seems it's just squeeze the clips under the rail and push them up through.
