This is a first for me. I never heard of a reconditioned OEM rim. They are selling them at Wal-Mart. I very rarely go cheap or cut corners when it comes to safety related car and truck parts but any of you ever deal with reconditioned RIMS? I think Kia is the name of the company that sells them.
16 X 7 Reconditioned OEM Steel Wheel, Black Full Face, Fits 1999-2004 Ford Superduty Pickup
That said, some steel wheels are out there in such quantity that they can be found dirt cheap.
I just sent a set of Toyota 16x7 steelies to the scrapper as I had no luck selling them, not even to a wheel outfit that advertised selling them for well over $50 per copy.
Anything reconditioned and landing on the shelves of Walmart tells you a few things. The #1 concern would be the safety aspect. I'll save you the trouble and recommend you walk right past them. Walmart is synonymous with "Cheap" and all things inferior.

This is pretty much the truth of it. Steel wheels especially are easy to repair and re-sell by wholesalers and aftermarket places, but good luck selling them yourself. I had a set of the chrome-faced steel wheels on my '03, had one rust out (developed a slow leak) and bought a new one for $50 from a junk yard. About a year later I had another one do the same thing, so I found a set of aluminum rims in good shape for $200.
Ended up just taking the steel ones to the scrap yard along with a bunch of other stuff because NO ONE wants to buy those rims used unless it's from a wholesaler. You get a 30-90 day warranty on those, from me you buy 'em you're stuck with 'em.
I just scrapped my 95 F250 4x4 about a year ago, everything was rotting cab was rusting out at the mounts had a nice set of OEM alcoa's on it and had 10 steelies with all good rubber loaded in the back. No one wanted it it as a parts truck or the wheels junk yard offered me $100, I still feel like I should have gotten more it is what it is.
Reconditioned rims are common. Nothing wrong with them. Doubt Walmart would take a risk.
But a lot of stuff walmart shows online actually isn’t available. Unless they are changing it. I think they are testing the market to compete with Amazon.
