Hey everybody, first time poster. I have a ‘92 F250 7.3 with the e4od. It has had the OD off light blinking since I got it a few months back. Blinks from the time I start until I shut it off. Code refers back to torque converter.
I have changed the fluid, checked the connector which looks fine, and the TC appears to be locking up.
My question is could my electric brake cause limp mode since the brake signal affects the TC? I noticed that my e-brake controller does not always operate. The red light does not always come on when I depress the brake pedal.
I just want to explore additional options before replacing the TC.
thanks
I don't know, but there may be some connection.. My truck has a manual transmission and an electric brake controller hooked up according to the directions. When the hazard lights are on I can feel my trailer brakes pulsing. The trailer brakes do not pulse with the turn signals, just the 4ways.

I am going to replace the e-brake anyway and update the 7 round pin to a 7 blade for my rv. Just wanted some thoughts since I had not found anything in particular. I know on the ‘94 up, the third brake light and can play havoc with these transmissions. Just wasn’t sure about brake controller.
When I get time to change it I am going to reset the codes and see.
