My blower motor has never really worked well, so I wanted to do a replacement before an upcoming road trip. I searched online and bought one that said it would fit for my application. Standard cab with NO A/C. I sized up the parts and they do not appear to be the same. For example this new blower motor, as well as any I find for sale online appears to have two studs sticking out into the cab, the stock one does not have this. As well as the wiring pigtail appears to be located in a different spot on the motor. Attached are some pictures. I was wondering what these studs are for? Will this new motor work? Those replacements use a universal motor that is adapted to work. The studs provide mounting in other applications. You can cut them off if they interfere.
