Hi all, I have a '95 F-150 XL.
I'm having a problem with the wiring in my driver side door, there's no power to it. (No speaker and no buzzer/dome light when open)
Since its an XL, its got no power windows/locks to worry about and the passenger side works fine.
Any ideas where to start in looking for this issues?
The buzzer/dome light circuit isn't in the door at all. It's in the door jamb. If you don't have power windows or power locks, there's literally nothing but a speaker wire running into the door, it should run through the rubber accordion hose thing, from the door jamb, to the door. I don't know if a 95 is the same as my 87, but there's a wiring connector for the speaker wire behind the kick panel.
I've found the connector for the speaker going to try testing it.
How would I go about testing the door jamb switch, does it have a pigtail connector as well?
I don't recall if a 95 uses the same switch, but usually you just have to unscrew it, and the switch pulls out, and you can check the wiring. The on on my '87 uses a 5/8" wrench, IIRC.
*Update*
So I've replaced the door jamb switch on both sides and the problem persists
I also tested the driver door speaker connector and there's no power going to it.
Any idea where to go from here?
