Power windows and locks not working

Ok so my 2003 f250 super duty power windows and locks switch started acting up first I noticed I couldn't control the windows with the door open but only when it was shut then I noticed the same thing with the power locks but now neither the power locks, power windows, or the mirror adjustment switches will work. The power locks work with the key fob and on the passenger side door lock switch. I am receiving power into the switch on the drivers side through the main power source (light blue/black wire) I used my multimeter to determine that. All my fuses are good and grounds all appear to be good. Also my door sensor that says my door isnt shut is also on which makes my dome light stay on, even when the truck is running and both doors are shut it still says a door is open. This all started happening at once which makes me believe the problems are all one thing. I am thinking that it must be in the drivers side power window switch since that's where my main power source feeds (light blue/black wire) I have one ordered and will be there tomorrow but this baffles me. Please help me get to sleep tonight. Thanks

Hello, have you checked for any frayed wires going into the door or at the kick panels? or have tried shaking any of the wiring harnesses?

You said that the dome light stays on when your driving can you spay some wd 40 in the door latch and repetitively open and close the door latch with screwdriver? see if that turns out your "door open" light or whatever it is called and see if the dome light goes out.

I'm new to this community but i just started posting about the electrical problems i'm encountering and am glad to help out anyone in any way i can.

Went over all wiring and grounds took off door panel and examined those wires they're all fine. I'm hoping it's just the power window switch and I'll try that tomorrow. As far as the dome light it just stays on. Even when I take the keys out of ignition and close both doors.

I tried a new window switch today and that still didnt work. I'm thinking its just a simple ground but unless I just can't find one I checked the grounds. Where is the ground for the power windows and locks?

follow the wires in the door panel that hook directly up to the power windows and the lock/unlock actuator. The grounds should be the black wires or the wires with black stripes would be my best guess.

Follow them into the cab and see where the go too and check any and all grounds that you find. I wish i could give more precise info but i have a feeling you have a broken wire somewhere.

Good luck and feel free to keep posting what you find!

Ditto on the door wires inside the rubber boot at the hinge being broken. Sometimes the copper breaks but not the insulation. Because of that you have to pull the wires individually to see if any start stretching. Doing this with the battery disconnected is of course preferable.

Thank you to both of you guys. Problem fixed. I finally bit the bullet and cut the rubber boot between the door and the cab and sure enough it was the ground wire was cut in half. I wasn't able to pull it because it was taped to the boot which made me believe it was ok. Spliced it back together and now everything is good as new! Didnt cost me a dime!

Of course it was. This is the same type of "luck" I usually run into myself, it's aggravating.
