3 speed side shift problem

Got side shift 3 speed installed in 49 F1. Adjusted rods, shifted thru gears pretty good, replaced bushings. Went out yesterday to start truck to move it and gears seem to be stuck. Crawled underneath and unhooked rods from shift levers to see if they moved. One lever would move neutral to 2nd only and other lever moved only between neutral/reverse. Pulled case cover, inspected forks,looked inside then put cover back on, resetting forks. Same deal. Whats ammed up? Ideas?

Did you have the side cover off while doing the bushings? Is it possible you installed the 1 - R fork backwards? Should be to the rear as below:

It was all closed up when upper shift arms bushings replaced. Forks are in right location. Smaller 1/rev to back.

Mabey thats the way you took it off, but the front fork isn't in nutural.

Thanks Indibeer. Took cover off again yesterday, put back on. I think i maybe had possibly the R/1 fork tweeked or something. Now I can shift arms into all gears although 1st doesn't seem like going in real solidly. Maybe when I get linkage hooked up and truck under power it well settle.

For what it’s worth, both of my trucks when sitting still can be tough to hit all 4 gears. Once you get the gear oil heated up and the engine is running it seems to hit all 4 a little better.
