Upgrading audio system question

Mattie - I also think you should do a voltage drop test on all the crimped connections. Since they get plenty of vibration, they may have a poor connection that you can't see or feel. Start with your meter on Voltage and place the positive lead on the output terminal of the alternator, the negative lead would then go to the positive post on the battery. Wiggle the lead around and see if there is any significant voltage reading on the meter. If the connections are good the voltage showing will be in the millivolt area, if you read a volt or more then it is indicating some resistance in that circuit. You can then divide the circuit into smaller parts by placing the positive lead again on the alternator output and the put the negative lead on the cable where it comes out of whatever connector is crimped on it. Do the wiggle test again and repeat this for all your crimped connections.

The only things left to do is mount the amp permanently and make or buy a sub box.
I see you have a 5 channel amp, so I assume your front components are running in a passive setup (woofer and tweeter on one channel of the amp)? If so....
Can you elaborate for me how you wired the tweeters? I'm doing the same upgrade and I don't want to try to run wire from the tweeters in the A pillar in to the doors to connect them to the woofer directly. Looking for specifics on how you tapped in to the channel powering the woofer to feed the tweeter.
Was it just as simple as a single channel (Left Front for example) on the amp feeding the woofer directly via the factory wiring and then taping in to the same factory speaker wire behind the rear seat to feed the tweeter via a direct run of new speaker cable to the A pillar?
Thanks in advance!
