As far as the voltage drop goes, it did it three or four times in a row, I then tried the new switch and it didn't drop, plug the old switch back in and now it's not dropping either so not sure what happened there. I tested for continuity on all of the pins while actuating the switch up and down and I have zero continuity on any of the pins. Also tried this on the new switch . In order for the switch to work I would have to have continuity on something right?
On edit: I tried testing with 2 different dvms, set on ohms , and tried touching the 2 test leads together to see if they showed continuity and they did. Am I doing something wrong here or do I just have 2 bad switches?
It's beginning to sound like you have two bad switches,
Also, always check the drivers door WINDOW LOCKOUT switch!
'A friend' went down this process of troubleshooting the passenger side switch failure.... ordering a replacement passenger door switch, researching, printing wire diagrams and doing electrical tests on a truck.
Not saying I did any of that, but a good friend of mine did... I bet they feel stupid!!! LOL
