Stabilizer bar and links question

I have a 1995 f150 4x4. Just recently bought. I believe the links are worn and upside down. It turns going up a quick steep grade it makes a banging sound. Just trying to sort it out. I see the make a drop kit for these. Anyone have any experience with those. Can't find any pictures of the kits installed
It's lifted 4-6 inches. Going to figure out how much. At a guess that's why the links are the way they are

I just went out and looked at mine. That link is not installed correctly. Look at the one Yardbird posted. To check other front end components, I suggest you jack up the front end and secure with jack stands. Grasp the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and move side to side for play or noise. Then grasp the tire at 12 and 6 o'clock and do the same. Have a helper slowly turn the wheel and you visually check all front components that are effected. You don't need a drop kit to fix your issue.

The bottom piece the link is installed on is different than mine which is more flat and like the one posted below. Yours is elevated. ???? Looking at it more, my sway bar is attached inboard of the link and the ones posted are outboard the link. I have no issues with mine and I have removed it several times. Don't know why they are different or how they fit them unless yours is a 4wd.

I've had new end links in the closet that I'm going to put on, some day... lol ...I bought them when I bought the complete tie rod/drag link parts. I just looked up the date on the pictures when I replaced those parts, and it was 2/06/2017. I was going to put the links on that week, yet, here they are, still on the shelf.

Mine is four wheel drive. When I jack the truck up, should I lift the frame? So the suspension hangs down.

I don't on the 2wd. I use the I beams and place my stands near the knuckles. You don't need the links unless you just want them. If you can get just the bushings, you should be fine. EDIT: Rockauto has just the bushings you need.

That indicates you should check out all bushings and bolt components of the lift and the proper torque. Also all the stock front end components mentioned previously. I wouldn't trust anything on a used vehicle that might compromise my safety without checking it first myself.

You are absolutely right. Started doing that a couple days ago. Found the front top shock nuts finger tight. Then saw the stabilizer didn't look right.

Those shock nuts are just the kind of hidden parts that can make a lazy person without a vested interest shine.
