Gas milage problem

I bought a 2018 3.5 Eco Boost FX4 this past summer. It was getting 17mph City and 22 -24 mpg combined. The truck had 22.5k when I bought it. It now has 27k miles. on the clock. I recently had the truck serviced at the local Ford dealership. I took a trip from OKC to Lincoln Neb. and have been getting 15-16 mpg since the truck was serviced. The truck was in econ mode 2 hi the entire time. I took the truck back to the dealer to see what was going on. They ran diagnostics and said everything looked good. They couldn't give me an explanation to what might have cause the change in milage. I purchased this truck for the power and fuel mileage the Eco Boost delivers. Any body hear have any idea what goin on here. My 05 Chevy truck was almost as good as far as mpg that I am getting now

What exactly was serviced?
Fuel mileage is dependent on a number of variables. So what has changed since the fuel mileage suddenly dropped? Ambient temps (winter), tire pressure, driving speeds, loads? And are your mpg estimates lie-o-meter calculated or hand hand calculated, or both? Many variables to consider.

My bet, winter blend gas, colder temps, lower psi in the tires, unfavorable winds. I get worse mileage in the winter, I think it's the gas personally.

15-16 mpg is pretty good for a full sized gas truck with that much power.

Not only does speed kills………it also kills the MPG’s.

Did the computer get reflashed while it was in for service? If so you re going to have to go through the adaptive learning process again.

I believe that is what OP is experiencing; MPG drop, due to the lower energy content of winter gasoline.

With summer fuel, I average 19-22MPG with my 2.7L; winter fuel has dropped the average to 17-18MPG

I track my mileage all the time and there is definitely a drop off in mileage during the winter/cold months.

Part of that is also the extended amount of time of just warming up to operating temp. IOW, it's not just the fuel, but the driving conditions.
