I think, on cold and cool starts. Coming from the muffler. I can see it in a lateral seam and drops off the end of the muffler. It also looks like it is coming from the clamps the resonator (?) just ahead of the muffler. It's more than I would have thought but the truck is only 2 weeks old. I could see it coming out of the tail pipe but not in the middle.. Anybody else seeing this?
That's normal, believe it or not. There is a tiny drain hole in the muffler, because one of the by products of burning fossil fuel is water. (The hydro, in hydro-carbon) Water will collect in the muffler and shorten it's life if not for the drain hole.
It is a little scary first time you see it. I have the 7.3L and that thing can make a lot of condensation in short order,
But relax, your truck isn't broken. It's made to do that.
I saw it in the first week after we received our new 7.3, fluid on the garage floor. Pretty alarming until I crawled underneath and figured out it was water from the exhaust.
Due to condensation in all exhaust systems, if you dont drive long distances, you dont allow the system to get up to operating temp and burn off the moisture. Over time the system will corrode prematurely,
