Hello all, I recently purchased a 1996 F350 7.3 powerstroke CCLB. Its got a few issues, the one I'm having a hard time with right now is the number 17 fuse keeps blowing. It blows the second I step on the accelerator, it can be in park and will still blow as soon as I step on it. I can shift through the gears and it's fine. Anyone have any ideas on where to start with this? I have already been under the dash and could not see any obvious signs of shorting. Thank you in advance everyone.
I donned my special carnac headware to recall what is on that circuit:
Trans control indicator lamp and switch
Brake level switch
Warning chime
Diesel warning lamps
Fuel water switch
Low vacuum switch
Instrument cluster
Electric shift control switch lamps
Disconnect the easy crap and go from there. No clue the last one, maybe for electric shift transfer case. You could also disconnect the TPS and leave the idle switch, try again. If pops, reverse that, try again.
