I have a few questions if you folks could help me out.
1) I am planing to buys a car trailer and tow 6500 LBS (total) occasionally. Do I need to spend the extra $$s on the Trailer Tow Package or am I good with the standard set up?
2) My understanding is that if I want the auto-parking feature, I need to go to the Co-Pilot 360 Active 2.0 Package. Is that correct?
3) Anyone using a DualLiner bed liner? I like the concept but, I'm concerned with the fit and finish.
4) Recommendations on a good, secure tonneau cover that is not a hard metal type. I found a roll up unit that has metal under it. BAK X4S. I'm told it will work 100% with the fully electronic tailgate I'm ordering.
Get the tow package, just makes the truck that much more flexible, and will help resale. Besides, you'll need the wiring harness and hitch and brake controller in any case, which will cost more if you buy them separately.
@GABAR Negative....needed to get "buy in" from the wife so.....
I ordered it Friday evening as spec'ed above.
Now I wait 2 weeks to 8 months according to the dealer.
We'll see.
I've decided to go with the following:
BAK Revolver X4s
BedRug Impact
Husky Rear Fender Well Liners
Bestop Rear Bumper Step
That's it until I get it.
Thanks for the replies.
I ordered the same truck , less the moon roof and power running boards and add max trailer tow. I also went with Copilot 360 Active because I figured it might help resale in the future. My main concern is the payload rating of the truck with all of that weight as I tow a travel trailer with GVWR of 7000 and I think my hitch weight is approaching 900 lbs. with two batteries and two 30 lb propane tanks. Weight was the main reason I didn't go power running boards and moon roof (even though wifey wanted it). I'd like a pick-up cap but my current one is 170 lbs and I understand the new ones will be a couple of inches longer so I may go to a BAK product. I'l know for sure when my truck gets here early February (dealer says Feb. 7).
@RossRR I'm flip flopping on the bed cover.
Seems like they all have a downfall of some sort and they all leak.
Which BAC are you going with?
Thanks
I had an MX4 on my '15 F-150 but I changed to a topper/Cap when I upgraded that truck. The MX4 did what I needed but I didn't like my rear window blocked when I needed to put something big in the bed, and you are right it did leak, particularly when going through car wash. I don't want roll-up because I'm fearful of it freezing in winter, so will probably go with the MX4 again if I decide to not do a cap. Have to have some more discussions with the wife because she wants a cap again.
