A previous owner removed most of the factory A/C system and I am replacing it. The belt adjustment pulley aligns with the crank and water pump pulley but the compressor clutch pulley doesn’t align. The pulley groove is about 1/4” too close to the compressor. I am using a Tecumseh compressor and clutch that came off of a 1970 Mustang. Did the F100 use a clutch that has the belt groove in a different location?
The compressors were all the same so it either has to be the pulley or your brackets. unless you have easy access to a different pulley I'd probably slot your compressor mounting bracket holes to line up.
If the compressor you have hasn't had a quality rebuild chances are it's going to leak. you might want to consider a Sanden retrofit kit and make it easy on yourself .
Thanks but I don’t think that will work as there isn’t enough metal around the holes in the mounting bracket to make 1/4” slots. And then I’d have to slot the bracket that attaches to the side of the compressor where the belt adjusting pulley is attached. It sure looks like there must be a unique pulley/clutch combo for this particular application.
Years ago when I searched for an A/C compressor clutch for my '76 F-250, 460, I discovered that I could not find the correct one by using application. As far as "fit" and "belt alignment" goes, the one in the photo appears to be correct. 1976 F-250, 460
But, in order to get the correct clutch via application I had to use another vehicle. (I believe it was an older model Lincoln; 1970??????)

Thank you for the pulley chart.
I had a York comp lock up. A few years later the free-wheeling pulley bearing locked up, tossing the belt.
I replaced the bearing, and am still using idler-only and not operating the a/c compressor yet.
Also, for those searching for a comp pulley the fullsize auto's and Econoline's used similar pieces depending on application.
