Just curious is anyone has had issues with battery drain when the truck has been sitting for awhile. I checked my battery after the truck sat for a week and the battery was at 12.0 VDC. I'm sure there is a lot of drain on the battery with all of the technology on these new trucks.
I forgot to mention, after the truck sits for a week, when I walk up to it with the key fob, it doesn't 'wake up'. I wonder if the truck is smart enough to know the battery is too low to perform some functions? Sure would suck to go on a 3 week vacation and find out the battery is dead!
Truck does go into a "deep sleep" mode eventually. I say that all modern vehicles would benefit from a battery tender any time they sit for a week or more. People always argue with me when I say it, but nobody has changed my mind.
Believe it or not, you might need a new battery.
No car battery should be that low after sitting for several weeks unless the vehicle is constantly in a very cold area during that same time period.

I'm a fan of battery tenders too. However, sometimes that's not an option, for example parked at an airport, etc. I suspect the truck went into a 'deep sleep' as some of the things that normally work when driven frequently don't when sitting.

I agree, this is a AGM battery and I've had lead acid batteries sit for months and stay at 12.6 vdc with nothing connected to them. I'm thinking it's either a weak battery or a large parasitic drain on it. I will check with the dealership and see what they suggest. I could charge the battery then disconnect it for a week and see what happens.
