2018 tailgate button

Hey guys and gals, my wife drives a 2017 mini stroke f150 and recently the button on the tailgate quit opening the tailgate. Just over 100,000 kms so the dealer tells me it's out of warranty.

It will open with the fob, just not the button on the back. Im not familiar with the actuators at the back or if there is a separate button, so I was wondering if any of you out there have messed around or repaired this type of issue before and could shed light on it.

Sounds like it just wore out because the fob still works.
Just look for the part itself online, purchase it, and replace it.
