Dressing up heater switch control face.

Hello again folks. Working on removing heater control to clean & refurbish to operate smoothly. I haven’t been able to find a “how to” or thread that addresses this but the clear face of the heater control switch panel has lots of thin, shallow scratches I’d love to remove before I re-install it. Anyone have any experience removing these scratches?
Thought about using some sort of paint compound but wanted to ask before I really make it worse. Other than the stiff operation it’s in pretty good shape. Too bad new modules are not available. Many thanks again.

I polish cluster plastic faces with this stuff. Found this out by accident.

If they are deep scratches you will need to sand them out.
I would not go with anything gritter than 600 and do it wet.
Work your way up to 2000 or finer if you can find paper then use what Davef listed or a head light restore polish.

I found out by accident that the plastic covering over the gauges in several of the cars and trucks I have owned actually became clear and micro scratches disappeared when I overspray armorall on them.
I would have thought it would of had a opposite effect but it works very well. Never tried it on HVAC face panel but it would be worth a shot.
