Wanted! Hester control or custom ideas

Team, the last piece of my interior resto is the heater controls. The plastic has crumbled at the mounting points and I can't find another unit anywhere. Green sales doesn't have any and they did a quick search of the other NOS retailers for me and they don't have one either. I'm considering a custom control of some sort unless someone has one. Nothing in the marketplace that I could find. Nothing in my local junk yard. Any ideas on a source or has anyone done custom heater controls? The blower switch and fuel tank switch are easy enough but coming up with something for temp control and def/heat control has me bamboozled with the cables. Thanks crew!

What year? I have a 78 cab that you're welcome to anything therein if it's workable.

1978. I'd love to take the heater controls off of your hands if they work.

PM sent. Thanks!

Had an idea. How about using heater controls from an earlier truck...pull for heat/defrost. Push back in for cool. Could have two controls with the existing switches through a plate. Might look nice.

Could expand your years a bit and get one of these glossy heater panels from a newer truck (Unknown year for this one I got). Had to do a bit of trimming on the posts to make fit, and if you had one in your hands you can easily see what need to be done. Also, the Fuel Tanks are labeled differently, and I had to rewire the switch to make right.

edit: Oh Yeah, a Link would help to sees what I'm talking aboot

Many salvage yards around the country have the heater controls (with and without A/C) for the 1978 available. Prices are usually in the $20-50 range. Shipping may be possible. You have offers from other members which could be a better alternative. If it doesn't work out check out the salvage yards. You don't need to make your own.

Grinner had what I needed thanks. I could find parts all day when I was stationed on the west coast, no such luck in the east for me in my area. I prefer to buy new when possible, but this one is too complicated a part I guess for anyone to reproduce. Either way, FTE came through for me again. Thanks crew!
