So, thought I had it licked with the contaminated fuel/rust inside tank. New filter, lines to heads..etc and she purred great and revved like a new motor. Fast forward to an hour ago and went for drive. She made it 5 miles after warming up for 10min sounding great...buddy towed me home.
hooked car gauge pro up and these the numbers. Mind you, fuel pressure at 55#, even when she died.
Now, aftDr getn ur home, she smokes blue/white and with a slight raise in revs, it'll do a low sound backfire out the exhaust. No popping through intake..at idle, it sounds great...(had cup unplugged at then, plugged back in)....any thoughts😁
Hey @timmyboy76 , it sounds like you got a bunch of broken wires in the engine valley harness. I wonder if all those circuits share a common ground. I will look up the wiring diagrams.
Edit: Looking at the diagrams, it looks like Splice S158 is common to all these components. The splice is located in the engine valley harness. The manual did not get more specific than that.
@FordTruckNoob ..Morn'n mang, appreciate cha researching a possible problem....the WIF has bern around for awhile(not sure why), low boost has been present for 11yrs ever since I grenades the turbo. Even with red line disconnected, I can't twist over 1wlbs however, no problem towing 10k lol...the cup was unplugged then repkugged in BUT, my CEL was not present a few times when trying to fire it up when stranded on the road(weird)...gpr fault, well..who knows there😜
...ya, the truck was goin under the knife IF I can ever get ur home(have to wait til after new year now). Im on limited time, space, tools and parts, where im at...this blows!
..no blowby out the fill tube, oil in hash marks, have yet to check rad bottle for anything else but coolant,.....seems as though, I need to get under them vc's and start unplugging crap one atta time while motors' running
...only "cut" wire I've done was at the fuel pump when I ran the pump on a switch, back in the days of who...other then that, every possible exposed wire has a loom, cut fuel line around it...etc
Tim, my friend. Uff Da is of Norwegian descent and basically means "oh my" or "da ***" or similar phrases. I know this because my wife is 87% Viking and we have many Uff Da (spelled differently at times) items around the house and say it almost on a daily basis.
