I have been doing a lot of research on a camera system for my 33' travel trailer. I wanted it for backing the truck as well as watching what was going on around the trailer while I was traveling so, I wanted a rear camera as well as side cameras. I also wanted a wireless system, for ease of installation, reliable signal with no "signal dropouts" at speed, and the ability for it to be on while I was traveling. When I ordered my 2021 F-350 I decided against the Ford trailer camera because I read you couldn't use it while driving and it is a wired system. I decided on the Haloview 7" 720P Wireless Range Dominator System RD7 Max with Side Marker Light Cameras. This system uses their mini rear camera that comes with a mount and wiring that is compatible with the pre-installed Furion mount. https://www.haloview.com/haloview-7-...m-rd7-max.html
You can order the system directly from the company or from Amazon. Amazon is a couple of dollars cheaper and comes with a stock 39' cable for the powered antenna booster. If you order it directly from the company, you can choose the length of the cable, so you don't have 13' of extra cable to deal with. Also, Amazon seems to have faster shipping than ordering from the company. I was more concerned about the cable length than fast shipping.
What I like about the system is that it comes with a powered antenna that you locate to the front of the trailer cutting down on the transmission distance which completely eliminates signal loss and signal lag. The other systems I looked at all had reviews complaining about lag and signal loss. The Haloview range dominator had no negative reviews complaining about signal loss. They do have other cheaper systems that use a regular antenna that can have signal problems. They sell remote antennas for these systems to locate the antenna further forward on the camper and recommend them for less than 33' camera to monitor distance.
I just ordered it, but I will come back and update this once I can install it and test it out. This guy does a side-by-side comparison of the Haloview Range Dominator and the Furrion Vision S. He actually installed both systems on his trailer so you can see both in action at the same time. The Haloview blew the Furrion away on signal reliability, not to mention it is $310 cheaper than the Furrion.
Thanks for all this sharing, this information is very useful to me. I'm doing some research on backup cameras and it looks like Haloview would be a good consideration! I am going to check it, good luck to me.

It is really a good system. I got to test it a little a few weeks ago when I took the camper to the dealership for a recall. There is absolutely no lag in the video from the rear camera and the side cameras work great. It is nice to be able to see what is behind you and coming up from your rear and sides. You do have to run with your lights on in order to get power to the cameras. On my camper the wire that Grand Design ran to the rear camera was hot all the time and I did not like the idea of the camera always being on so I ran a wire from the center marker light. The side cameras work off of the side marker lights so it works out great because the lights have to be on for those to work.
Hope all works out for you,
Dale
