I have a 2019 F250 with the 6.7. It is just getting to turn 36000 miles. I plan on keeping the truck another 5-6 years putting about 13k per year. Is a extended service plan worth the costs and if so who and where/how much did you purchase?
A lot of people on here recommend Flood Ford. Just shop around, that is one of those things that dealers can do whatever they want. Worth? That depends, I had a couple of power fold/extend mirrors replaced on my truck, at 1200+ each it worked out. Read the fine print, a lot of things you would think are covered aren't, such as a high pressure fuel pump. I plan on purchasing one when I buy my new truck or very soon after.
How far out is everyone pushing these? I would assume until 150k/8yrs to get the longest coverage possible?
It all depends on your own preference and anticipated mileage. I went 8-year/100K premium plan with LED and key fob riders added, but I doubt I'll put that many miles on in 8 years ... assuming I keep the truck 8 years.
Being transferable, it could help with resale value down the road.

Buy the coverage that makes sense for your use. For me, based on how many miles I average per year, 8yr/100k miles. Realistically I would probably be fine with the 8yr/85k miles. Only an example, but someone who puts 30k miles a year on their truck might want a 5yr/150k mile warranty
I have a 2019 drw 350 and I just purchased it used from a Toyota dealership, it has 60k miles. After I purchased the truck I brought it to the local Ford dealership to inquire about a Ford extended warranty, they had me sit with their finance guy. 4k, 5 years 48k miles. Seemed pretty steep to me, especially considering that I have the STX. It doesn't have all the options like many others.

Check your food pass app for the guys that bought used. After turning down the dealer offered warranty I was home setting up the app. And noticed in the warranty section under esp there are two policies listed. I called customer service and sure enough they go with the truck not the person who purchased them.
You used truck guys might get lucky like I did.
I’ve never made a claim nothing claim so in can’t attest to how they handle things.
