Check your food pass app for the guys that bought used. After turning down the dealer offered warranty I was home setting up the app. And noticed in the warranty section under esp there are two policies listed. I called customer service and sure enough they go with the truck not the person who purchased them.
You used truck guys might get lucky like I did.
I’ve never made a claim nothing claim so in can’t attest to how they handle things.
Thanks for the info. I called and sure enough the original owner had 2 esp plans BUT Ford needs the previous owner to sign off on the transfer of the esp. Ford sent me the document that the previous owner must sign, it clearly shows that he is giving up his right to a refund by assigning the esp to the new owner. I have a call into the dealership to see if they can get the previous owner to sign off on it. Im not holding my breathe.
Ford admin made it clear, even though it was traded in I cannot assume the warranty unless the previous owner signs the document they sent me. Kinda BS if you ask me. If I get lucky and he signs off on it, I will still have to pay Ford $180 for the reassignment of both esp plans.

Dealers are not allowed to become the documented holder of a vehicle's ESP. I learned that when I discussed trading in my 2017 with my dealer, hoping it would add value to my trade. Not so. OTOH, if I tried selling that 2017 (less than 24k miles on it), it could be worth more in a private sale because it still had 4 years and 50k miles of bumper to bumper (Premium ESP) warranty left ... all for a one-time $75 transfer fee.
Thanks for all the feedback! I purchased a ESP through Flood Ford. Given that I pull a 32ft trailer I thought it was a worthwhile investment. My truck is a 2019 with the 6.7 and has 36k miles. I paid just under 2200 for a total warranty of 8 years and 100K miles. The ESP plan is transferrable for a 75 dollar fee.
The way I figured it was all I need in ONE computer/electrical issue to pay for it, not to mention any potential fuel system issues.
Buy it from Zeigler Ford. I bought mine for my 2017 F350 for like 70% off. Legit Ford Premium ESP.
I'm buying one for my 2022 as well from Zeigler too.
I got a quote from Zeigler's website and the 8 year/150,000 premium ESP was $5255. Flood was $5,005 for same. How did you get 70% off? Also do these guys haggle on price or is then website quote the best price they will do? I'm looking to cover my 22 King Ranch I'm about to receive.

Oh ok, I thought maybe Florida since the price looked high. As far as I know, Florida is the only state that has to pay retail price on these plans.
I see why it seemed so high to me, the pricing jumps up considerably over 100k. I bet if you got a quote from the dealer for the same terms it would be quite a bit higher than the Flood quote.
