I have a 21 F250 with 7.3 gas motor. Left it idling with fire lights on, on the side of road. It shut off some time during the call. It started right back up, It has dual batts and alts so I dont think it was voltage issue, Do these trucks have Idle timer and can it be turned off? Can't have the truck shutdown on interstate was about 30mins into call this truck has a keyed ingnition

 

yes the trucks have an auto idle shut down, 30 min max, im not sure but id imagine it can be turned off in Forscan. Id hop over to that thread and ask.

I found it in the forscan area and you can disable it there

 

this can be disabled in mine right here.

 

Happened to me last week when I was moving my trailer for the winter.
I wanted to charge the deal cycle a little bit and in about 20 to30 minutes she shut off.
Thought I lost my fuel pump at first! I know there are better ways to charge a deep cycle battery
and will use them next time.
