Why isn't flowmaster clear?
I have searched endlessly for details on what mufflers go with which exhaust systems... most descriptions say something like "with the unique 3 chamber flowmaster muffler" but WHICH one?? Does someone know of an exact listing somewhere? I want to know if I'm buying a 50 series, 40, or whatever! This is really poor on flowmasters part IMO.

Flowmasters:
40 series has two chambers
50 series has three chambers
70 series has three chambers but a much larger case than the 50 series
And both the 40/50 series are available in quieter delta flow versions. Flowmaster is also coming out with a couple new muffler lines called the Hushpower II & the Super 40.

The Super40 sounds like it will be sweet! I checked the part number and the muffler for the F150 matches up with the SUV performance 50 series 
. I would prefer the 40 series delta flow, I want sound dammit! Maybe you can special order.

If you want sound have a shop put on 40 originals. Don't think you can buy them as a kit for your truck. I have headers, no cats, true 2.5" duals, 40 originals, with 4"x18" tips... now that is sound.
