Wow. I was reading this thread today, and I was about to write a big post, but then I saw that I was already quoted.

yeah, i wish I could get a better photo of the oil cooler area so I could tell for sure, but that looks a helluva lot like the van setup. Sadly, you'll have to pull the darn oil cooler to get the van mount bracket off. I've modified my bracket hardware to a 1/8" smaller bolt so that I can get my brackets off without the hassle of removing the oil cooler assy, but I doubt the PO did that for you.

In post No. 1, it looks like the left-side engine mount isn't even bolted in. Presumably the P.O. wasn't able to line it up and said "f*** it", but until you get the bracket situation sorted out it may be a good idea to see if you can line up the bolt holes and get something in there. If it was my truck I wouldn't run it with the engine resting on the oil cooler like that.

Just a guess but I imagine once you get the engine mounts sorted out, you'll find a lot of the miscellaneous leaks are coming from the oil cooler gaskets (which will most likely be replaced by that point, to accommodate the F-series engine mounts). Don't lose any sleep over all the smaller leaks though, that's just your IDI oozing character. If you look at certain things like the half-*** design of the P/S oil reservoir vent, you'll realize that certain parts in there are just leaky by design. Good catch on the water pump bolts, too many folks don't know about sealing those. And yeah, AFAIK you can remove only the bottom ones to put sealant on them. Good time to drain the block and flush the cooling jackets while you're in there.
