Ford tells me they will fix my truck. If they cover the whole repair they will warranty 12/12. If I pay half they will cover 24/24. Some of you didn’t get it that my complaint was that rust doesn’t start in 20 days. The rust started above the rear tire from the inside out. Yes I will let them fix it. Thank you for the responses. Merry Christmas!!

Exactly^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Was not the rust there before the warranty expired? It is your responsibility to know your warranty, go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb before warranty expires, go in and have a ticket opened by the service writer and get things documented. Then they are on the hook for full responsibility, and you have a leg to stand on.
There is plenty of drain holes the plug up with stones and sand . I bet if you crawl under the truck you'll find many plugged on the rocker panels and possibly the bottom of your doors. Above the rear wheel wells there is 3 or 4 of these drain spots that need to be flushed regularly. I'm just as guilty as the next guy, wash and wax what you see ,sit back and admire your handy work and say to yourself what a fine job you did. Most rust starts from the underside because it gets neglected because it's not the easiest to clean..
If you live in the rust belt (you do) the best you can hope for is to control and slow the rust, It is going to rust, period. If you dont want to rust the only solution is to move. The rust problem is a valid reason why the entire rest of the nation generally doesn't buy a vehicle from the rust belt. Good Luck, Russ
