Back-up Switch Harness
Looking for a back-up light switch wire harness for my 75 f100; np435 trans. This runs from the switch over to the harness on the left frame rail.
If I could find the connector that goes to the switch it would be really easy to remake this. I found one (Standard Motor Parts S743) that’s close in shape but it’s too small; this happens to be what all the parts stores list for this application. My OEM switch is works and is in great shape but I’m guessing I’m going to have to replace it for an inferior part that’s the connector.
I purchased an American Autowire 510342 that does not include this. Why? I don’t know. I could probably rant about this omission considering the kit costs $800 but this won’t address the issue. I might call them though.
Anyway… If anyone has info on ordering one of these harnesses or even the correct connector I’d appreciate the response.

I saw that they list this. Are you able to confirm this will fit? My guess is it’s the same connector I already have that didn’t. Says in their note that it only fits their switch.

No, I can't, but maybe try to cross reference your switch with theirs. Or if in doubt order their switch too. Where did your switch and connector come from?
I would try calling American Autowire first. I bet they will do their best to keep a happy customer.

I always like to see what my favorite search engine will come up with and I actually referred me to one on eBay for $27. Made in 2002 (I’m thinking it had other applications?). I just got it and it’s in great shape. I have lots of NOS parts but when it comes to plastics they do age so I try to get as new as possible.
