Mystery button switch ID?

This switch was hanging down from under the dash and goes into the wire harness that is also in the pic. Everything seems to work but I can't find where this switch goes or what it does. Does anyone know? Thanks for the help.

Did you buy the truck used? It maybe be a overide switch for a alarms system. I have one that looks just like that..

You'd have to find and ask the previous owner. It's not stock.

I bought it new but I think it might have something to do with the alarm as it only took a couple of minutes to deactivate the alarm when I told the dealer I wasn't going to pay for it. It goes into the wiring harness in the picture and looks stock but it is a mystery to me.

Can you explain what you mean? How does it work on your truck?

Then it's a remnant of that alarm you wouldn't pay for. They just pulled the alarm module and left all the wiring.

Ignore it.
