Tachometer Question
2001 Super Duty Diesel Tachometer (rear side)
I'm guessing that C+ and C- are for power (12 or 5 volt)
S+ and S- are the Signal, probably a square wave to run the Tach.
On the board with the Chip and Caps the trail stops.
The PCM plug to the dash cluster (Flat 12 pin) does NOT go directly thru to the
ribbon cable pins (ohm check) of which there are 14.
Quite possibly this board makes/filters/amplifies the S+ and S- signals.
I am curious if anyone else has messed with this?
