Morimoto XB Headlight Issue

unfortunately when if you google Moromoto XB issues you will see issues across all kinds of cars and trucks. It seems like some people are lucky and never have an issue. Others get problems in every set they have tried. its really a shame considering the cost for the lights. This and the problem i had with their fog lights in another car turned me off from their headlights. As far as swapping to LED bulbs, i havent gotten radio static but i only use sirius/xm or bluetooth.

I am sending my XB Hybrids back. The beam pattern is terrible and I can't get use to the "z" cutoff line. I'll probably stick LED's in my factory lights and call it good. I never had issues with LED's in my 2017 halogen enclosures. Once I aimed them down a bit I never got flashed.

Jay forgot to ask - do you have the factory Halogens? You may want to get some Sylvania Ultras and call it a day. Putting in LED's in the original housing can bring on another set of issues. I did that and then my AM radio reception when out. A second set flickered on the right side only. That's why I ended up with the Morimoto's. Seems they are nothing more than a $1600 experiment.
It sounds like you're going to need a replacement driver module for that headlight.
I'll be happy to go ahead and get one on order for you. Just so you know, it will be a few weeks before we have those parts ready to send out.
I can’t wait weeks for these lights to work Driving from AZ to FL on Saturday, then leaving the country for a year (truck is going in storage). I installed them less than 30 days ago - hopefully they will just refund them all and I can move on

Maybe I'm just not used to using the AM radio... I have the bullet shorty antenna and LEDs in my normally halogen headlights... I don't have any problems with them since the upgrades. 90% of my radio listening has been bluetooth from my phone... until lately... my apim needs to be replaced for my stereo to be fully functional again. So, antenna and FM stations it is for me now. Still, no static issues there...

On my 2017 I had the S-V.4 and did not have radio issues. This go around I ordered the GTR Lighting Ultra 2.0.

Do you have them yet? I just installed Hikari ultra's and like them. HR brags up the GTR's though.

Not cheap but worth it. Same thing with the LED replacement tail light bulbs I got from f150leds.com.

God damn that's not good. Sounds exactly like what is happening with mine.
So with the new replacement does the light actually work? Both of mine needed significant alignment right out of the box as well. Not ideal but I would take that vs. a defective light.
We are pulling a 5th wheel in Phoenix and about to head to Florida next week so the worst possible timing.
What a f**king joke. $2000 headlights and this is happening? I bought the best so I wouldn't have to deal with **** like this.

I used to be a huge fan of their stuff, older threads youll see me commenting on them, but thats definitely changed.
