I have a friend getting a plow installed in his 2022 superduty. He's having problems with the adaptive cruse and pre collision system. What tips and tricks are advised to get this all sorted out?
Seeing how the plow will block the sensors for those systems not sure there is a work around for when the plow is in the truck. Hopefully it’s not effected with just the plow mount cause that would suck.

Since I believe at least SOME of those sensors are in the bumper and likely behind or right next to where the plow mount is located, it's probably going to throw off those two systems regardless. He'll need to disable the systems in the dash which, as pointed out above, is in the owner's manual. Where I'm not entirely certain.
its more that when the plow isn't installed neither system works... it may be a shottie install so far. What I guess I'm looking for, is there any settings to turn them on and off? Will collision avoidance flip out when the plow is on?
Re-read post #3. Should be menus in the dash to turn the systems off. As for not having the systems work when the plow isn't on, if there is interference with mounting brackets probably just going to have to live with it in the winter with the systems turned off. Then take the brackets off in the summer if he wants those features back on. What does the plow manufacturer say about interference with these systems?

He's still waiting on the installer to get back to him. He went a large reputable dealer for the install to avoid this kind of hassle but got a half assed job just the same.

I do my own installs, don't recall having any issues. My was a 17, 22 maybe different.
I did notice the mounting of the sensor is totally different from my 2019. Where ours are a separate unit the 2022 is part of the molded air scoop. There is a rectangle about the same size as our sensor molded right into it. That won't allow as much flexibility in mounting position.
I would be interested to hear what the real issues was. All of the decent new plows leave very little frame when the plow is removed. All of the mount for mine is below the bumper. So you can't use adaptive cruise with the plow on. I have heard that the pre collision isn't and issue plowing but I have yet to plow with the new truck yet. If it brakes for me I will turn it off, pretty simple, takes 30 seconds.

I have a 20 F-250 and have no problems. I have collision avoidance off from day one. I don't have adaptive cruise option.
Another option may be to relocate the adaptive cruise sensor box. There are a few companies that make a bracket to relocate it to the grill area. They are used for aftermarket bumpers that would block the sensors.
