When utilizing the remote start feature on your truck, the air conditioner turns on unless you manually turned it off before getting out of the truck.
when the feature in your dash is set to turn on at the last setting this could either be on the air conditioner mode or heater mode depending on where you left it before turning the truck off.
when the feature is set to automatic, at what temperature does the truck turn the air conditioner on or the heater on?

I could be wrong but I believe that's based on what temp you've set via your temp control **** relative the the interior temp. IE If the interior temp needs cooled off or heated up.
I've only had my 22 for few weeks and haven't quite figured this out either, I usually turn off my A/C before I shut down, but have noticed when I use the remote start if its cool outside the seat heat and the steering wheel heat come on, if its hot the seat A/C comes on.

based on that I think your settings in the dash is set to automatic climate control.
It depends on what settings you have entered in the menu as to whether the hvac and seat and steering wheel heat are turned on with remote start or not.

I have not seen those settings in the menu.
when I go outside here shortly I’ll take a picture, but if I remember correctly I believe it says “automatic” or “last setting.”

thats all I got auto or last setting. Seem near 40-45 degrees F I notice that my heated seat is on.
It makes sense that you should leave the temp on auto with no overrides and that would warm up instead of cool down.
I've searched the forums, but I'm still not 100% sure that you can remote start any new truck with Ford Pass even if it doesn't have remote start feature. True?
If so, does Ford Pass use Blue Tooth, Wifi or satellite to communicate with the truck?
Do you need a subscription?

Ford Pass uses cellular date. None of the others except Satellite have the distance.

I Remote start mine with FordPass all the time if I’m in the house or in the store.
I would translate that to it is a paid subscription because the truck acts as a phone on the cell network.
Nope you do not pay for it. It is built into the cost of the truck at purchase. The F150 folks have been adding the modem to their trucks for a few years now.
The setting for remote start on the radio screen settings tab is what you need to change the climate with remote start settings, not that instrument cluster setting.
