I ordered an F250 SCSB XL in mid-Feb. Gave up on the order and ended up getting an F250 CCSB XLT in early June. The SCSB finally showed up at the dealer in mid-Sept. Still wonder what I am missing with the SCSB. They look better and I don't have kids or pets so didn't think I needed the full rear seat. Will say, I love having that seat now. Tons of room for luggage and such. And I do haul a 3rd or 4th passenger sometimes. Not sure if I had to do it again which way I would go.

Extras from factory are plow package springs, FX4 skid plates, running boards steps,, sliding rear window, upfitter switches, that's all.

SCSB is PERFECT for my needs. I upgraded the 2012 to the 2022 this fall. The new SC is WAY nicer than my steel body truck. The way the rear doors open alleviates most of the issues I had with the SC doors. Now they open all the way against the bed instead of just 90 degrees from the body. The rear seats were mostly unusable on the 2012 and not comfortable at all with a bolt upright seatback. At 6'3" I can ride in the back of the new one fine. More legroom, more comfortable seat, better access.

I plow snow with mine so the shorter truck is a huge help. Seeing out of the smaller cab is easier when maneuvering, especially in the dark. It also fits in my garage with the plow on and I can drop the plow in the garage, park the truck inside with it and still have a walkway between them. Previous crew cab trucks really fill up the garage space and it would be super tight with the plow.

It is my perfect set up. Kids are grown and out of the house, no pets. I can haul my snowmobile gear in the warm cab on the way up the mtn, fits in the garage, easier to maneuver. They are a little tricky to find but that is just based on the 4 door truck fad IMO. Everybody thinks they have to have the CC, and many probably do use it but it is unnecessary for my use.

I have a the 7.3 in an F350, payload is rated over 4100 lbs, plow package, XLT. The SCSB is by far my favorite configuration and Ford is really the only one doing it like this anymore.

Perfect for our empty nest/retired needs. And I like the lines of the truck, long bed and all.

I really like the new SC doors. Like the old commercial used to ask, "Have you driven a Ford... lately?"
I have not...at least not a new one. Good to know about the doors opening up further. Should be plenty of room in a normal parking lot I hope?
Also, is the real difference between a 250 and 350 suspension mainly an extra rear overload spring? If so, wouldn't they ride about the same until the overload is engaged?

As mentioned above I can vouch you have to park on an outside spot or do a few moves to load groceries. And at least on mine you can only come from the front as the door doesn’t swing 180; not a biggie as that is common across the board but much better to back in.

Bonus is the door is of less length so you can keep it 100% open in a parking lot a lot easier.

Up thread just a bit there is some discussion about how the doors open, rear seat space and some other super cab stuff. Since they are a bit rare, and they are exactly what I wanted (my Ranger and my F-150 were both super cab config) I thought I'd show anyone considering one what they look like. Here with both doors open and the rear door folded against the side as all the newer SC will do.

As others have stated, I'd hate to ride any distance in the back seat. But we are empty nesters, and the grand baby will do fine back there IF the need arises. So we don't need the crew cab. Also I think I recouped about 300 pound in cargo capacity, lost 11 gallons of fuel, don't need a slider hitch and with a 164" WB parks about as easy as the much more popular 160" CCSB variant. Plus a bit cheaper. (About $2500?? Don't remember)

The rear floor is absolutely flat. While most luggage will go in the bed since the tonneau is nearly weatherproof, Sweet Wife's musical instruments can/will/have already filled the rear cab area! The folding under seat storage is not available in super cab, even with Premium XLT

And as been stated, the lines of the truck are really nice.
On edit: my payload is 3274. I have dual batteries, running boards, tailgate step, so on. It adds up.

That’s a plus to me - I’m not a fan of that collapsible box and would prefer a flat floor instead.

I made my own and split the difference. About an hours time, $15 at Home Depot. Makes use of that wasted space between the seat mounting points.

Is there a trick to getting your door open like that? Seems mine only goes 90 degrees open.

Always been a SC fan... empty nester , so no need for 4 full doors... pwr equip. group less $$ on SC
need long bed wheel base for towing
7.3 because I will only tow less than 9k lbs.. and $11k for the 6.7 buys a lot of gas...maint. is less on 7.3
350 because ... 4508 lbs payload
It's a pavement princess ...so no 4x4.... and my insurance is only $240 for 6 months.
STX because I can add a few aftermarket options myself. and I don't want all the BLIS tech and "noises"

My truck is a tool, not a toy.. it's nickname is .. "DONKEY"
I'll post new pics if I ever get my cube fogs installed.

Nope. No tricks. Just push it firmly and it should fold all the way back. Remember this is a 2022 and I don't know when Ford caught up with GM on this.
There are "notches" at 45* and 90* where the door will hold its position. And failure to park the door in the notch will sometimes get you a bump in the butt from the door!

If above doesn't work check if it has a limiting bracket on from factory. Had to add this to my 20 F350 Chassis or else door would hit utility body.

This is my third SCSB in a row. Definitely my favorite configuration. F150 (Raptor) F250 and now the F350
