10000 GVWR on F350 SRW
This is what the OP needs to answer. If he is getting a short bed, in any configuration, it won't have the GVWR required for the hydro boost.
I was going to order that combo and have the build sheet that shows 11,800 GVWR.
I am probably going to order a crew cab short bed and the order sheet on that shows 11,300 GVWR... im not expecting to have hydro boost brakes.
There is a guy in that thread saying his buddy(or his) truck that was ordered as 10k GVWR has VACUUM brakes.
I would expect the OP's truck to NOT have hydroboost.

If its a super cab short bed 7.3, 4.30 gear truck the GVWR is 11,800 which, if it follows the 11,500+ get it, then that combo would get it.

A guy in that thread linked above has a 7.3 crew cab short bed with the camper/snow plow prep and he has GVWR of I think he said 11,800 and has it.
Also in that thread a guy comments him and his buddy ordered the same truck, one had 10k GVWR option and no hydro boost, the other was 11800(or whatever) and it had hydroboost.
So I would expect the OP's truck to NOT have hydroboost.

And the one where the two guys bought same trucks, one was 10k, the other was 11,400 and both had vacuum brakes.
Will go edit my post so as not to spread mis-information.
HOWEVER I will stick by my other of a super cab short bed getting an 11,800 GVWR... thats IF that truck shows up as the order form shows it with "11,800 GVWR package"... but obviously I have no way of knowing if that truck would show up with hydro boost brakes or vacuum brakes. There is at least 2 guys on the forum with that truck though.

So if I don't order any GVWR "options", what will the default GVWR be on the sticker? 12,400?
I read it again... he had a long bed, my mistake.

11500 is what it will be you cant get 12400 on short bed.
I sent the dealer a ford PDF of a supercab short bed build last week as my wife and I were going to order a super cab and that was the build sheet they sent back... I honestly would not have caught that.
thanks, so it seems from above the short bed will be vacuum boost no matter what the GVWR option.
I might as well stick with the 10,000 GVWR option then and save some money on registration.

Yeah unless im reading it wrong, thats how i see it.
4.30 gears are the deciding factor with his configuration to have hydro. My truck which is basically the same as his has 3.73 and no hydro brakes.
