I’ve got a 95 that was a auto trans that I stick shift swapped I had a ts6 tuner from Amazon and it runs fine just has junk tunes and is for a auto trans not a stick. I got a hydra and no matter what tunes I run it runs like crap I have custom tunes and the ones from hydra flash and I’ve tried multiple different tune files for different computers and they all don’t run right other then a factory stick stick shift tune or automatic tune. Any tune that adds power when you go past 1/2 throttle it runs like crap doesn’t seem to Mis fire but once you roll past 1/2 throttle it falls on its face and has no power. With the ts6 tuner my fuel pressure drops to 50psi at wot and with the hydra it only drops to about 58 so it’s not getting enough fuel. I tried unplug if the icp and the problem was worse in a daily tune I could floor it snd it would run bad for about 5 seconds and then it would take off and run normal and any tune above a daily it never would take off like the daily tune eventually would. I’ve tried 3 ipr valves and nothing changed. I also just had the contacts on the pcm re soldered so it’s getting a good connection. Also has a 17* hpop if that makes a difference. I’m at a loss of what else to try and I can’t get any auto parts store scanner to read codes because it did trigger the cel but it went away after I shut it off but I know there’s codes because the computer should think there is a missing automatic trans and unplugged ebpv. Has a newer napa icp and cps. Any ideas on what to do?
I’d unhook the electrical pluggin on the MAP sensor. If it runs fine then your MAP sensor is faulty. The other thing is MAP pressure cannot exceed 24 psi (iirc). If boost goes above 24, the PCM will read out of range and get confused. The Super Duties actually de-fuels, OBS will just kinda stutter or have no power until boost is back in range. A boost fooler could assist set at 22 psi of boost, in this way no matter the real boost # the PCM only sees 22.
Lastly on critical parts like sensors, glow plugs, valve cover harnesses, I always use Ford Motor Co factory parts. The others will let you down sooner then later and often right away.
