Trans trouble
Hey folks got a fun one just had the trans rebuilt in my 2002 7.3 by a highly recommended shop less than 1000 miles ago with a sun coast kit new TC new guys new electric everything. I was farting around with a freind today and the truck decided it didn’t want to go forward anymore, but reverse works just fine. No flashing light either. When put it o drive the RPMs drop like it’s going into gear but it won’t actually move. Ie heard to check the solonoid on the back of the T-case or the solonoid pack but the pack is brand new so I doubt it’s at fault. Anyone else have an idea where to start before I call the shop?

When it is in park, does it hold or roll? If it rolls in park the problem is in the transfer case. If it holds in park the problem is in the transmission. If it's the transmission call the shop. It is something mechanical, not electrical.
