Next Nor Cal Get Together I'll give people hot laps. I haven't driven it much yet, but I'm pretty sure it's faster to 60 than my 624 HP Shelby.
Drag for pinks against my dual motor 3?
Side note: anyone interested in manual steering gearbox and power steering ram assist cylinder, along with drag link and pitman arm? I pulled that from my F100 which came with ram assist PS and replaced it with full PS kit from Benchwork Steering... so before I chuck it on FB marketplace (and have to deal with FB randos - sheesh) - if anyone wants to throw a few bucks my way to cover the $1800 i spent on the PS kit... we can come to an agreement
No, but it's a hell of a lot nicer vehicle than the 3.
I haven't been in a Mach E yet so I can't compare but I also don't disagree that the 3 is a quite spartan vehicle (and I come from daily driving a C7 A6 Prestige model)...
In the every drop counts category, we got 1/4" of rain this morning. almost all of it came between 4AM and 5AM. Hope the current pattern stays with us for a while. I'm going to make a run down to the well tomorrow to see if our water level is recovering. It usually starts coming up shortly after the first rains.
I have some 5 gallon buckets in the back yard. No science there. They are all full of rainwater.
It looks like whatever might grow in the cooler weather is beginning to sprout. Whatever plants they grow into, there are a lot of sprouts. I hope some of it's edible. I suspect that there will be a lot of mustard. Mustard returns here year after year.
As I was cleaning out the cupboards, I found some old beans that I forgot about. Just a handful. Not actually enough to cook a meal with. I threw them out into the yard. They sprouted and grew vigorously. Last week, I harvested a bunch of pinto beans in the stage where the pea pods were still green. The beans were plump, and full of flavor. Since they weren't dried, they cooked really fast, and also had a more appealing texture. I'm wondering if I should get a bag of beans for $0.99, then toss them all out into the yard. It would be interesting to see what kind of return I get.
We are up to 0.56" of rain including last night and this morning. I'll take every drop.
We are seeing some good numbers up here too. I checked about 9:30 this morning and had 1.6” in the gauge. The cameras around Mount Shasta are showing several inches of WET snow too.
Unfortunately, it is interfering with my survey crew getting the data that I need.
