Hey guys, any of you ever have any trouble bolting a Torker intake on 351C ?
I purchased a set of 12 point ARP stainless intake bolts and found the #1 and #8 runners keep the bolt from going in the hole. I tried shorter bolts, same results. I am about to go get a couple of studs and see if they will work.
Any other ideas? I don't know how little thread will be safe when torqued into the head.
Took me 2 hours but I finally managed to get my intake on last night. I purchased 2 grade 5 studs and had to grind off the nut guide tips and used stainless nuts. I also had to use 2 bolts that were about 1\2 inch shorter than stock on the #3 and #6 runner holes. There is not enough clearance to use a torque wrench and had to tighten those 4 bolts with a standard wrench. A real PITA. Hope this helps somebody else.
