Thanks for all the recommendations, I ended up going with the Course Motorsports Mount. I like it so far, it holds well and I like the line of sight. Now I have to install a mount for the wife on the passenger side, I'm thinking a suction cup mount just below the cigarette lighter adapter and the 110 AC plug. Anyone have suggestions for passenger side?

I redid my phone holder from the worn out cup holder style I had, not to mention it took away a bee…a cup holder. I like the course stuff but they didnt have one for the sync 4 trucks, plus, a big plus, I hate stuff blocking my dash and windshield view. Vents, buttons, or anything above the dash.. I just dont dig it. Personal preference, but I wanted something better than the crappy one i was using, and removable. Ram mount has a new phone holder instead of those 4 finger things. I have 2 and not a big fan. I got one and used a ram suction mount I had, and some plexiglass glass, and a silicone mounting pad thing. Love them, I use the silicone pads to mount our radar detectors plus I them for stuff like Kleenex box holders in my equipment(allergys). So far its this set up is working good besides being hokey. I had to rework the factory mount and I use it upside down so the spring loaded part of the holder pushes down. It’s not held by much so lifting pulls the tray up, which is where I keep my cash, so it makes for a good handle to access the hidden layer. The silicone strip hold the plexiglass to the tray. It’s surprising sturdy. I run it upside down so pushing down operates the spring loaded part without lifting it up…didn’t I already say that?

Did you attach the magnet to your phone, or to the inside or outside of your phone case? I bought the same one for my iPhone 12, put the magnet in my case (left the adhesive on) but the connection isnt strong enough to keep the phone in place. How’s it holding up so far?
Thanks.

I attached the magnet directly to my phone and put my case on over the magnet. It’s holding well, phone hasn’t slipped out of place at all.
