Cell phone mounts

What is everyone doing for phone and or tablet mounts? I have tried numerous suction cup and vent clip types and nothing really is secure. The suction cup ones seem to fall off when the weather changes and the vent clip ones seem to be a few seconds from breaking the vent or overheat my phone during the winter. Please share pics or types that you have had luck with.

Check out the thread listed in the tech folder and see if that fits your fancy.

This is also in the cell phone mount tech thread, but for those with arthritis that don't want to click...this is called a "Kuda" mount...fiberglass covered in leather. No drilling.

...all you do is take out the stereo and pull the top dash loose, it slips in with a clip that holds the front on tight, then you slide it into place so the area above the stereo grips the front. No drilling required. I later tightened up the front clip, now it sits tight and flush to the dash. doesn't really interfere with dash covers either.

If you have an aftermarket stereo, you can run your wiring through the 'pocket' and behind the dash for a clean install. I later 'flipped' the stereo mount kit to get the pocket on the top:

You can get 'double' plates to mount more than one device on it...I have it holding my cell phone, my Garmin GPS, and the head unit to my VHF/UHF:
